Here are answers to common questions. If yours isn’t here, use Settings › Feedback in the app or email herrys@another-startup.com.
How do I save a link?
In any app, tap Share and choose Save to Shisui. The first time, you may need to turn it on under More in the share sheet. You can also tap + at the top right of the Shisui home screen to paste a link or choose screenshots.
Why wasn’t an item analyzed?
Check these in order:
AI Analysis is on in Settings (the first analysis needs your consent)
Your subscription is active
Your Shisui sign-in hasn’t expired. If it has, a banner appears at the top of the home screen; tap it to sign in again
You’re online
Some platforms show the full content only to signed-in users. If Shisui can’t read a page, the card says so; open it to add screenshots or paste the text.
What happens if I switch apps during an analysis?
Shisui keeps working in the background for a while. If iOS ends its background time, Shisui pauses and picks up again when you come back. On iOS 26, the system shows the progress after you leave the app.
How do I sync between devices?
Sign in to the same iCloud account on each device and turn on iCloud Sync in Shisui’s Settings. If sync stops, for example because iCloud storage is full, Settings shows why.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Shisui, or open the same page from Settings › Subscription in Shisui. You can keep using Shisui until the end of the current period.
My subscription is missing on a new phone or after reinstalling
Sign in to Shisui with the same Apple Account and tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen.
How do I delete my account?
Tap Delete Account at the bottom of Settings, or at the bottom of the subscription screen if you haven’t subscribed. This deletes your account, subscription records and usage records from our server and revokes Sign in with Apple. Your saved items aren’t affected. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel your subscription.
How do I export my items?
Go to Settings › Data › Export All Items and choose Markdown or JSON.
Which sites can Shisui read?
Bilibili, Xiaohongshu (RED), Weibo, Zhihu, YouTube, X, Threads, Instagram, Facebook, Substack, Google News and most web articles. Reddit isn’t supported at this time.
Why can’t I download Shisui where I live?
Shisui isn’t currently offered on the App Store in mainland China or Europe.
